  7. The new extensible SNMP Agent is an upgrade to the SNMP Agent that is
  8. delivered as part of the NetWare v3.11 release, and is also an upgrade to
  9. the SNMP Agent that was delivered with the NetWare v3.11 SNMP Agent Upgrade
  10. Version 2.0.  The new SNMP Agent is backward compatible.

  12. Refer to the "Novell NetWare v3.11 TCP/IP Transport Supervisor's 
  13. Guide" for command-line options and reference material.

  15. Additional configuration can be accomplished through these files:

  17.     SYS:ETC\SNMP.CFG
  18.     SYS:ETC\TRAPTARG.CFG
  19.  
  20. Use the SYS:ETC\SNMP.CFG file to configure the following MIB-II
  21. parameters:

  23.     sysName         System Name
  24.     sysLocation     System Location
  25.     sysContact      System Administrator/Contact
  26.

  29. Use the SYS:ETC\TRAPTARG.CFG file to configure trap destinations. 
  30. Trap destinations are internet hosts that receive traps generated 
  31. by this system.  Traps can be sent over both TCP/IP and IPX.  The 
  32. format of the file is described in comments within the file.
